Semiahmoo Library
Semiahmoo Library. Photographed for Vancouver Magazine. The living wall was created by Green Over Grey Design and is the largest vertical garden in North America. I wanted to include people in the photograph and was on the look out for a cyclist, a dog walker or a family with a baby stroller. These kids rolled into the frame on skateboards. I took the photograph, moved on to another angle and started my wait all over again.
Nood
Nood Furniture and Design. Basically when I photograph a room I evaluate the space, choose an angle, set up lights, subtract, add or move a few objects then take the photograph. With a furniture shoot you need a lot more production and people power. Nood emptied this Bowen Island home and moved in their stylish contemporary furniture to fill the rooms. After a room was photographed the furniture was moved out to a loading truck and new furniture was brought in. The whole team was fantastic and we ended up with a lot of great photographs.
Capilano Cliffwalk
Capilano Cliffwalk. I had a great time photographing the narrow walkways of Capilano Suspension Bridges newest feature the cliffwalk. They’ve created an outstanding adventure by suspending walkways and viewing platforms from the cliff face.
Sophie Burke 1
Vancouver Residence. Sophie Burke Design. Large scale revovation of a 1928 home. I really loved the balance in this home. The interior design is functional and modern yet it retains the character and feel of a traditional family home.
Sophie Burke 1.5
Vancouver Residence. Sophie Burke Design. Beautiful contemporary urban home with minimalist detailing.
Sophie Burke 2
Vancouver Residence. Sophie Burke Design. Wonderful home that was built recently but looks and feels like it has been there for years. Reclaimed windows, outstanding millwork and antiques help give the home a classic feel while expertly chosen design details still allow the home to have a bright modern feel.

Castello di Gabbiano, Tuscany
Your next holiday should be to Tuscany and Castello di Gabbiano. I’ll do my best to describe how much I enjoyed the region but my writing won’t do it justice. Tuscany has an unfair amount of rich culture and history, for example Castello di Gabbiano was built in the 12 century and you can stay in it. My bathroom was located in the top part of the castles corner tower. The food is local and amazing. I tried freshly pressed olive oil for the first time and it’s unbelievable. The air was crisp and had a beautiful fragrant smell. The main focus of the project was to photograph the vineyards, which are not only visually stunning but also produce outstanding wine.
Thanks to Castello di Gabbiano www.gabbiano.com, Susan www.haymakercreative.com and John www.johnsinal.com for a great trip.
