Doors Open Vancouver is an exciting new event that the City of Vancouver will be hosting this October. It will allow the general public the opportunity to explore many of Vancouver’s most interesting buildings. Brief Studio is creating the branding and website for the event and asked if I could photograph the participating buildings. We managed to capture more than 100 images over 3 days and I learnt a lot about the buildings.
The VFRS Training Centre can create a real fire in a fake house on demand. If you hang out in the Woodward’s atrium people will ask you to watch their shopping cart while they go to the pharmacy. The VPD mounted unit loves their horses and their jobs. Eager swimmers line up before 6am and wait for Hillcrest Community Centre to open. The Scotiabank Dance Centre has Hawaiian hula dance classes and the Vancouver Art Gallerys South stairs are always busy.
